Ching went through many difficulties and started working when she was only 15, but at the end she succeeded due to her strong will, her hard work and her desire to help her family and to find her way. Shamim and her wife are long-time advocates for the rights of women and the LGBTQ+ community. Writer and director Shamim Sarif is an award-winning novelist, screenwriter and director for film and TV.

EPISODE N.6: BRENDA RIEPSAAME WASSINK. THE CAPTAIN LANDING SIDEWAYS

On the 19th of October 2018 people all over the world were watching online an incredible sideways landing at Bristol Airport, when Storm Callum brought challenging high winds and stormy weather, made by a pilot that everyone assumed was a man. That pilot is actually Captain Brenda Riepsaame Wassink, a woman and a highly skilled pilot.

EPISODE N.7: ROLLES GRACIE JR. A FAMILY OF FIGHTERS

Rolles Gracie is a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and professional Judo and Mixed Martial Artist champion. He is the son of the legendary Rolls Gracie, representing the third generation of the Gracie family, the family that created Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the UFC.

Professor Sir Simon Wessely is Regius Professor of Psychiatry, Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London and President of the Royal Society of Medicine. He studied medicine and history of art at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and finished his medical training at University College Oxford. He has a Master’s and Doctorate in epidemiology.

EPISODE N.11: GEETA SIDHU-ROBB. FROM HOMELESS TO SUCCESS

Change is inevitable, suffering is optional. Anything is possible. If you can see it, you can do it; if you can dream it, you can make it happen. This is the message that Geeta shares with us talking about her life and all the challenges she had to face. Geeta Sidhu-Robb has lived many lives. In the late ‘90s, she and her husband became property mogul millionaires, only to lose it all due to financial insolvency.

Melanie Seymour is Head of Global Client Service at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, with $7.4 trillion in assets under management. In this role she is responsible for leading a global team to deliver an outstanding client experience to new and existing clients across all products and distribution channels. Melanie has over 30 years’ experience in Finance and Banking holding senior roles in Technology, Operations, and Change Management as well as running her own business.
She is passionate about education and developing the next generation of leaders, mentoring a number of men and women both internally and externally.

EPISODE N.13: AKINWOLE OMOBORIOWO II. LIGHTING UP AFRICA, ONE COMMUNITY AT THE TIME

Akinwole Omoboriowo II is the chairman and CEO of Genesis Electricity and Advisory Board Member at The Global Thinkers Forum, he has over 16 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Sector and Power Sectors in Africa, where he has consistently led other equally distinguished colleagues in pioneering several initiatives. Akinwole is a successful self made entrepreneur who is lighting up Africa, one community at the time. He talks about his childhood in Nigeria and his journey to become an entrepreneur. EPISODE N.14: GERALDINE SHARPE-NEWTON. TAKING CHANCES

As a journalist, TV producer and PR executive, Geraldine Sharpe-Newton has scaled the heights of broadcasting on both sides of the Atlantic. She has been head of communications for CBS News in New York City, ITN and Turner Broadcasting International in London. After working at Burson Marsteller in New York, she handled the PR launch of The Economist in the U.S. Her love of books led to a stint as a Vice-President at publishers Simon & Schuster, in charge of all book publicity across all divisions.

EPISODE N.15: MAURICIO GOMES. HOW BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU CAN IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

Mauricio Motta Gomes is the father of the G.O.A.T. Roger Gracie, he belongs to the elite group of 6 black belts given the rank by the late Rolls Gracie, one of the legendary figures of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mauricio is a coral belt 8 stripes and he was one of the best competitors in the 80′. He is considered by many as a legend, for his deep knowledge of the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and for his dedication in teaching it, maintaining the legacy alive. He is an estimated Professor at Roger Gracie Academy HQ in London and at Inspire Jiu-Jitsu RGA Bicester in the UK.

EPISODE N.16: YALDA ALAOUI. EAT, BURN, SLEEP

With Yalda we are talking about gut health, inflammation and how to boost your immune system. In 2007 she was diagnosed with two auto-immune diseases – Ulcerative Colitis and Auto-Immune Haemolytic Anaemia- that made her begin to extensively research nutrition and health. A ten-year period of research and recovery lead her to make a full career change and to share her knowledge trough her new website Eat, Burn, Sleep.

EPISODE N.17: CLAUDIA DOVAL. MY TRUTH

Claudia Doval is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt multiple World Champion, she is ranking the n. 1 in the Flograppling ranking. She is one of the rare cases in BJJ of someone who started late in her twenties and who did not compete extensively while climbing the ranks of this martial art, but still conquered her space as one of the top grapplers of her generation.
